The museum is located in the historical centre of the town Tabor. The whole exposition is inside the national historic landmark building on Špitálské square. The historical building offers the area of more than 200 square meters for the exhibition of the LEGO sets from the collection of one collector.
The exposition is divided into different themes, for example LEGO Architecture, LEGO Technic, LEGO Ideas, etc. You can see hundreds of original models from all over the world and the collection is continuously growing by new interesting, rare and exclusive sets.
The visit of the exhibition will offer the projection of the story of the whole history and origin of LEGO brick. The museum is interactive and consists of more than 1,5 million LEGO bricks.
Among the showpieces are Statue of Liberty, Tower Bridge, Eiffel Tower or Taj Mahal. You can also see the model of Benešova vila (Villa of Beneš) built from more than 20 thousand LEGO bricks. The model is built in the 1:42 scale and is true copy of the original. Another interesting model is the copy of Tábor restaurant Střelnice built in 1:50 scale using more than 100 thousand LEGO bricks..
The oldest showpieces are the original LEGO wooden toys from 1940s and 1950s, or early moulded plastic toys from 1950s.
The exhibition is one of not only European, but also world unique and rare experiences.
After the exhibition itself it is possible for the kids (and adults) to visit the area where they can “play” with LEGO bricks.
The visit of the museum can be crowned by the purchase in the shop offering LEGO sets that are not commonly sold in the shops in the Czech Republic.
