Žiarska Cottage is situated in Žiarska valley which is the southern gateway to the Western Tatras and Roháče. The mountain chalet is accessible from the Liptov region where the village of Žiar is located. It is ideal place to relax as well as an excellent starting point for hiking.
In the cottage guests can use accommodation and catering services. It is open year-round except maintenance periods in November and December and avalanche time. There are 13 double to quadruple rooms. The rooms have shared bathroom facilities on the corridor, but there are also two rooms with private bathroom with shower and toilet.
Guests staying in the rooms have access to the chateau where parking is possible. In the winter months, the path is not maintained and the access to the cottage is not possible by car. For longer stays, we do not recommend to leave the car in the parking lot at the mouth of the valley. It is better to leave your car at the accommodation facilities or directly in the village of Žiar.
The cottage has a restaurant and a buffet.
