Hrebienok (1285 m) is a significant tourist and ski centre above Starý Smokovec (Old Smokovec), in the southern slope of the Slavkovský Peak.
It has been popular for the visitors of Old Smokovec since the half of the 19-th century. Before the first buildings in Hrebienok were built, the Cold Creek Spas in the north-east slope next to the Bilíková Chalet had already stand. In 1894 a road next to the tourist path and in 1908 a ground cable car were built.
Many training fields and ski-lifts have arose close to the hotel since 1930´s. In 1956 a 750 m long Ski-lift from Slavkovská vyhliadka (Slavkovská Terrace) and in 1968 referee towers were built. The slope for toboggans has been equipped by electric lights since 1959.
