Welcome to Prerov on Elbe, a picturesque village located in nothern Bohemia between the town of Celakovice and Cesky Brod. An open air museum of traditional folk architecture, a romantic Renaissance mansion with a water ditch and Moto-Velo museum can be considered as one of our most stunning landmarks. Prerov on Elbe is a place where its inhabitants lead a good live and tourists love to come back.
In the forepassed history, kings and archdukes used to come and see our village. One of them - Tuscan Habsburk Lewis Salvator - about the year of 1895 he established the first ethnografical museum in the lands of Bohemia and this museum is preserved up today.
In the valley among Prerov, Semice and Britev Hill the summer scenery lures you for a walk on back roads between fields of golden corn or vegetable. Numerous nature and cycling trails take you through the Netusil forest along the Budec dam to the reservation called the Humpback´s pool. The other routes lead up to the peaks of the Elbe hills where you have an amazing wide view of the surounding landscape. The camber of more than 60m is also very suitable for the paragliding. Prerov in winter is a frequent destination for cross-country skiers.
In vicinity of Prerov on Elbe the sightseers may visit Hrabal´s Kersko with a very popular gamekeeper´s lodge, a gorgeous chateau in Lysa on Elbe, a fortress in Celakovice or Botanicus in Ostra.
