The main reasons, why is Spindleruv Mlyn visited the whole year, are many posibilities of sport activities and active relaxation.
Spindleruv Mlyn extends from 715 to 1310 m above sea level.

The dam on the headwater of river Labe near the south edge of Špindlerův Mlýn. It was built up in the years 1910 - 1914. Its area is 40 ha and the length of reservoir about one kilometer. The dam is 41,5 m height and its length is 153,5 m. In the eighties the 120 length bridge with the highest pillar (30 m) was built across the reservoir.
 

There are ideal conditions for skiing and cross-country skiing in Spindleruv Mlyn up to 5 months in year.
